The Zen Machine™ takes the concept of the FM-3 Buddha Machine to the next level, and far beyond the original Buddha Jukeboxes that are very commonly found in temples in China, Tibet, Japan, and many other Asian country, which FM-3 appropriated for their own music and made widely popular in the Western world (North America and Europe.)

You can also check out our Loop Collections page to purchase sets of MP3-based, DRM-free loops on SanDisk/MicroSD™ flash cards which you can use in The Zen Machine™ or your own player if it uses SanDisk™ cards or if you have a card-reader and can copy them to a compatible computer system and then over to your own player. Zen Loop Collections by various artists are also available to purchase as digital downloads.
The Short Version: This project is meant to address what we felt were a number of limitations with the FM-3 version of the Buddha Machine, which has been written about in numerous publications such as Pitchfork.com, RareFrequency.com, and even the New York Times. We had heard about it for two years when we finally got one, but after playing with it for couple hours a few times, it's just been sitting for months, collecting dust.
